The grand opening was April 5, 1921. It was heralded as one of the great legitimate theatres on the West Coast, which presented the top vaudeville performers of its day.

With KC Restoration and Preservations Arts, I repaired plaster ornamentation in the marquee area, as well as, the auditorium. I rebuilt missing details from the outline, cast a mold and replaced urns and scrolls. Very classic ornamentation were painted on the auditorium and other areas. In a scissor lift 65 feet tall, we painted the decorative ceiling to honor the original.
